AirlineRatings.com recently announced their Top 10 Airlines for 2019 check out the airline that nabbed the no.1 spot from Air New Zealand.

  1. Singapore Airlines

Previously in third place in 2018, Singapore Airlines managed to surpass Qantas and Air New Zealand, taking the first place for 2019. Dubbed ‘The World’s Best Airline in 2019’ by AirlineRatings.com, its innovation, new product and world-renowned inflight service has earned Singapore Airlines the reputable AirlineRatings.com 2019 Airline of the Year award. Singapore Airlines also introduced the very first Singapore – New York, non-stop flight.

 

  1. Air New Zealand

Former winner of Airline of the Year in the past five years, Air New Zealand takes the second spot along with the Best Premium Economy and Best Airline (Pacific). Air New Zealand has also been expanding in domestic and international markets, “Its overall product is superb, and its business class bed is outstanding” said AirlineRatings.com Editor-in-Chief, Geoffrey Thomas.

 

  1. Qantas

In third place is Qantas which in addition won the Best Domestic Airline Service and Best Lounges. Geoffrey Thomas commented, “Its customer approval rating is at an all-time high, and it continues to innovate with lie-flat beds on all its A330s that operate domestic and regional international flights”.

 

  1. Qatar Airways

A new winner for AirlineRatings.com is Qatar Airways, which won the Best Catering and Best Business Class including the fourth place in 2019’s Top Airlines. Its Qsuite was rated as one of the best overall business-class products, setting the bar sky-high for the industry. Judges even sampled its onboard offering across three classes, all of which were exceptional. “The Qatar catering leaves nothing to chance and is quite exceptional even in economy class” said Geoffrey Thomas.

 

  1. Virgin Australia

Known as Australia’s second-largest airline, Virgin Australia took the fifth place on the list as well as the Best Cabin Crew.  Geoffrey Thomas stated “Virgin Australia has redefined the travel experience with its Economy X, Premium Economy, and standout Business Class. Add to that its cabin crew, which are the world’s best, and you have another airline punching well above its weight”.

 

  1. Emirates

Emirates, the Dubai based airline secured the sixth spot, alongside titles such as the Best Inflight Entertainment and Best Long-Haul in the Middle East. “Emirates has been an industry benchmark in cabin innovation and aircraft for years and dominates long-haul travel, with a level of service that only a few equal”.

 

  1. All Nippon Airways

All Nippon Airways or ANA is an airline with the largest fleet in Japan. It took the seventh place in the top 10, praised for being detail oriented, “Its attention to detail is quite extraordinary,” said AirlineRatings.com.

 

  1. EVA Air

EVA Air from Taiwan is at number eight thanks to its new aircraft, new routes and cabin innovations. “Always been a standout airline and a leader in such things as premium economy class. New aircraft, new routes, and more cabin innovations keep EVA Air in the Top Ten”, said AirlineRatings.com.

 

  1. Cathay Pacific

According to AirlineRatings.com “The airline is a byword for operational excellence”, this airline based in Hong Kong had successfully maintained its position from 2018’s Top 10 Airlines. Cathay Pacific also won Best Business Class in 2013 and 2015, alongside Best Asia/Pacific Airline in 2016.

 

  1. Japan Airlines

Another renowned Japanese airline, Japan Airlines grabbed the last remaining spot for 2019. AirlineRatings.com stated “The airline, like its competitor ANA, is the embodiment of Japanese service and attention to detail. Always figures in major awards”.
